Belated birthday gift for *zandan. I really need to start getting into the habit of doing birthday gifts for people.

Anyways, I drew this a week or so ago because I wanted to draw cats. The original image I was planning on was much darker than this. Those mushrooms on the frame were going to be like dark and ominous and the background was going to be like something out of American McGee's Alice in Wonderland, but I just.. didn't? I was thinking abour Super Mario World and that background just.. happened. I don't know what's wrong with me o_o; (Other than the fact that I'm a damn candyfurre and everything I draw is perky and eyeburning)
Speaking of eyeburning, this looks great on paper. I finished it today, though, so I haven't yet found any reason to hate it. But it scanned really light, so I played around with the levels tool and darkened it.. and now I think it's too dark. And the scanner made the yellow really orange, and Dante is way more cream than intended. o_O Before he had subtle cream shading, now he's like.. yellow.

Inked With: Medium and superfine Faber-Castells, .5 & .8 Sakura Microns

...Ahh, well, at least perky-and-eyeburningness all the time is way better than being angsty-and-dark all the time ^^
